You MUST read all of the following before accepting these Terms and Conditions as it is a legal and binding Agreement as stated below.
By accepting the terms and conditions and registering, you agree to the following Agreement without reservation.
Definitions:
In the Terms and Conditions are set out below, the governing body will be referred to as “Christian Sports”
The word “league” refers to all the teams and the governing body as a group in whole.
The word “player” is an individual person who has signed up or is in the process of signing up to play in the league.
The word “coach” as used in this document will mean: a team member who has been assigned the position of leader of a team.
The word “church” is referring to a bible believing, Christian based organization that preaches and practices, to the best of their ability, the words written in the Holy Bible in its entirety. A church in the league must believe and teach, as it is written in the Holy Bible, that Jesus Christ died on the cross and rose again, defeating the grave. They must teach that anyone who believes that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and invites Jesus Christ to be their personal Lord and Savior, confesses and repents of their sins and transgressions, will be saved as written in John 3:16 in the Holy Bible.
Christian Sports will arrange insurance through the league sanctioning body (example: NSA or Slo Pitch Ontario – SPO, etc.) for every player, coach and league official. The extent of coverage will be limited to and dependent on the offering of the sanctioning body, at the time the insurance is purchased.
A player must report an injury to the umpire, when it happens.
Rules for the league are decided by the coaches of the teams combined and in attendance at the beginning of the season, at the coach’s meeting. Rules are discussed and voted upon. Majority rules. Coaches must be in attendance at the meeting or have a team representative assigned to attend and vote in proxy.
A coach must be a church attending team member. He or she is not required to play. A coach may, at their sole discretion, assign another team member the position of assistant coach. An assistant coach must also attend church on a regular basis. This is to ensure that, as a church league, we have the right people mentoring the teams in the league.
You are aware of and accept that your picture could be taken from time to time and you agree that it may be posted on the Christian Sports website.
You agree and accept that your name will be displayed online on the Christian Sports website in the rosters.
You agree not to harass, intimidate, use rude or inappropriate gestures or comments toward any other player, coach, umpire or league official. Doing so at any time can result in immediate ejection from the league after review by the Christian Sports Comissioner.
The league will try to create a fair, inclusive, friendly and safe environment to play slow pitch baseball and perform all related activities associated with the league play. As a coach, player or umpire, it is understood and agreed that, from time to time, as in any sporting type activity, tempers can get out of hand. Coaches, players and umpires will do their best to contain these happenings. Appropriate action is to be taken, including but not limited to ejection from the game and removal from the grounds.
It is to be understood and agreed by you that, as in any sporting type activity, injury including the possibility of death can occur. By accepting these terms and conditions, you agree to fully defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Christian Sports, its officers, owners, personnel, employees, agents, contractors, invitees, or volunteers from all claims, lawsuits, demands, causes of action, liability, loss, damage and or injury of any kind whatsoever (including without limitation all claims for monetary loss, property damage, equitable relief, personal injury and/or wrongful death), weather brought by an individual or other entity, or imposed by a court of law or by administrative action of any federal, provincial or local government body or agency, arising out of, in any way whatsoever, any acts, omissions, negligence, or willful misconduct on the part of Christian Sports, its officers, owners, personnel, employees, agents, contractors, invitees, or volunteers. This indemnification applies to and includes, without limitation, the payment of all penalties, fines, judgements, awards, decrees, attorney’s fees, and related expenses, and any reimbursements to Christian Sports for all legal fees, expenses and costs incurred by it.
You agree that in accepting this agreement, by clicking on the check box labeled “I have read and agree to the Terms and Conditions” that the individual who accepted this Agreement has the actual legal power, right, and authority to make this Agreement and bind the respective party to it.
